Emidio Pepe
A Legacy of Authentic Winemaking
Emidio Pepe, located in Torano Nuovo in Abruzzo, is a family-run winery renowned for its traditional, natural approach to winemaking since 1964. The estate’s philosophy is simple: respect the land, honor time, and let the grapes speak for themselves.
The vineyards are cultivated biodynamically on clay-limestone soils, producing indigenous varietals such as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, and Pecorino. Grapes are hand-harvested, foot-trodden, and vinified naturally in concrete and glass-lined tanks, without pumps, temperature control, or filtration—ensuring each wine reflects its true terroir.
A hallmark of Emidio Pepe is its extraordinary aging cellar, where bottles mature for years, sometimes decades, before release. This patience and care result in wines of great depth, clarity, and longevity, treasured by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Guided by generations of the Pepe family, the estate continues to produce wines that are authentic, soulful, and timeless, offering a unique expression of Abruzzo’s land and heritage.
